Here are a few ideas: ![]() Leave the cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. STEP FIVE: Bake for 8-11 minutes until the edges look set. Gently press down on the tops of the cookies to flatten them slightly. Place the dough on the baking sheets, leaving room in between each one (these are big cookies!). STEP FOUR: If using chocolate, fold it in then form 3 tablespoon sized balls of dough. STEP THREE: Pour the dry ingredients in slowly, and mix until just combined. STEP TWO: Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined. In the bowl of a standing mixer or handheld mixer, beat the butter and both sugars together until light and fluffy, around 2 minutes.
